S = 112 mph, 180km/h
T = 118 mph, 190km/h
U = 124 mph, 200km/h
H = 130 mph, 210km/h
V = 149 mph, 240km/h
W = 168 mph, 270km/h
Y = 186 mph, 300km/h
Z = 149 mph, 240km/h and over

every tire has a rating

for example:
335/35/18 ZR

335 is the width across in millimeters
35 is the ratio of the sidewall compared to the tires with
18 is the size of the wheel/rim
Z is he speed rating at which that tire can handle
R stands for Radial, which is the pattern of belts/wire

I was always under the impression that Z rated is the highest mark for speed. And isnt it for example 225/40/R18 Icould be totally wrong but thats the way I always understood it to be. Check this web-site its pretty usefull. http://www.tire-information-world.com/tire-markings.html

The ZR can come at the end but is usually put after the aspect ratio and before the rim size.
