D.I.Y. air/fuel ratio meter

I'm sure you have seen many air/fuel ratio meters for sale. In many cases this is small gauge with many colored leds. If you have little experience in welding small parts you can make this useful gauge yourself. Click this D.I.Y. air/fuel ratio meter

I was thinking about building one and if it goes well, then build some more for others.

Never been a fan of narrow band sensors, but if you want a pretty light show to impress unknowing people who get in your car, you can't beat a few bucks worth of parts

I didn't want to spend alot of money on the ones that are out in the market, when I can build one for cheaper.

Well these things are sweet for those not doing any serious tuning and just want it for its diagnostic purpose which is always a good thing to know when you start running lean. Only thing wideband is good for is when tunning (That and a few minor things), The only other things they are good for is street credit and horse power for all those ricers out there. Kind of like a 15" tac with shift light. But most peeps would be amazed as to how much you could learn about what is wrong with a car just with a few gauges, even this one.

Yeah, that is the main reason why I am building one for my car, cause of the motor swap that happened a couple months back. Don't want to have to replace another motor again, soon.

that too, shouldn't up your boost without a boost gauge. boost spike will kill your motor.

yeahh i know. im thinking i will just pick up a cheap kragen one for now

Hopefully, this paycheck on the 20th. I will have enough money to build the first one for testing. Then go from there.
